Candidate Maria Baier's name no longer accessible on Republicans for Janet website The well-known and often-accessed Republicans for Janet website now has a new lockdown and authorization registration attached. It wasn't there two days ago. Do you think Maria Baier, Phil Gordon's hand-picked District 3 city council selectee, whose name was prominently displayed as a Republican for Janet Napolitano, had something to do with the new exclusion feature? They can lock out the curious eyes, but that doesn't conceal the truth. Maria Baier, sister of Fire Chief Bob Khan, remains suspect for many other reasons than her public endorsement of our liberal governor. Would Baier recuse herself from the numerous votes that would affect her brother's union? She won't say. One thing we do know about Republican Baier: She obviously prefers the company of Democrats Mayor Phil Gordon and Gov. Janet Napolitano to any Republican elected officials.
