Bottled water is complicated |

In the news this week, PepsiCo made an announcement that they will now note on the labels of their Aquafina bottled water that the water source is a public water source, essentially tap water. A lot of people are not aware that Dasani bottled water (bottled by the Coca-Cola corporation) and Aquafina (bottled by the Pepsi-Co corporation) are nothing more than bottles of public water that you could be pouring from your kitchen faucet into any container. In fact, most people are probably not aware that Coca-Cola and Pepsi are the bottlers of their respective bottled water brands. In all honesty, I had no idea that bottled water was so complicated. When I think about bottled water, I think about the primary compound in nature for which its ingestion is essential for all human beings to sustain themselves.
