OK, here’s one from the “you’ve got to be kidding me” file. The University of Florida has kicked junior safety Jamar Hornsby off the team. Why? Because he allegedly used the credit card of a woman who was killed in a car accident along with a teammate of Hornsby’s six months ago. Hornsby turned himself in to Gainesville police after a warrant was issued for his arrest. Seems that he is accused of using Ashley Slonina’s gas card for six months. He is charged with credit card theft and fraudulent use of a credit card. How about charging him with incredibly poor decision making skills and lack of any clue whatsoever? Hornsby, who is out of jail on his own recognizance, stands accused of using the card 70 times, for a total of $3,000 in charges. Steve Maynard, Alachua County Sheriff’s Office spokesman said, “I would love to hear the explanation for utilizing the card of a deceased person.” Add me to that [ Full article ] |
