Virgin announced this week the shut down of their online music space, becoming the latest casualty of the continual consolidation of online music stores and just weeks after Sony killed off Sony Connect. Virgin Digital will close shop officially on October 19th, but has already stopped accepting new member registrations. Costumers who still have download credit can use them on Napster or go on a last-minute digi music binge. [ Full article ] |
