Starting your own business is much harder than you think. The idea that it is a vacation for the rest of your life has been perpetrated by the get-rich-quick-schemes advertised all over the Internet. This isn't new; it's just that these scam artists have discovered a new platform on which to advertise. Do not believe any advertisement that tries to sell you on the idea of working very few hours every day, while you get to play with your kids the rest of the time. This is just another chapter in the world's book of pipe dreams. Working for yourself requires more hours than you ever imagined. And, until you reach the point where you can bring in extra help, it wouldn't stop. Entrepreneurs aren't stuck to their laptops solely because of an addiction.
