During the 2006 Israel Lebanon war I was able to watch news coverage that was not as censored as that presented in the mainstream media. I was horrified by what I saw. So much bloodshed, including innocent civilians, many of them children. Before I go on I want to say that I am a born again Christian and I believe scripture teaches separation of church and state. Also, we should never violate God's principles of love and justice in order to support a government's actions. We are called to love our enemies because only God knows when someone is beyond redemption. For example, Paul the Apostle gave his voice against the saints when they were put to death Acts 26:10, King Manasseh “shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another” 2 Kings 21:16, and in our current day the infamous serial killer David Berkowitz, known as the Son of Sam, all repented of their evil deeds.
