CHARLOTTE — Jay Mills had a vision of what he wanted to do at Charleston Southern when he accepted the head football coaching job in December, 2002.His vision for the Buccaneers paled in comparison to the one his children conjured up when he returned to Boston later that month to spend Christmas with his family."They had this college football video game and they created a Charleston Southern," Mills said Friday during the Big South Conference media day. "The team Charleston Southern was facing was Miami."Fiction becomes fact next month when Charleston Southern travels to Miami to open the season on Aug. 30.That is the same weekend Coastal Carolina faces Penn State, its first-ever Football Bowl Subdivision opponent.
