Getting off the mark

Iowa has to do a lot of things right to win at Wisconsin on Saturday night. And it starts with the very first snap of the game. The Hawkeyes have to get off the mark quickly. Come out flat like they did at Iowa State it's still puzzling how that could happen — and they're in for a long, long night. Playing at Wisconsin is crazy enough. Now, make it a night game and give the fans all that time to get juiced up Camp Randall is going to be nuts. Not to mention the fact that Wisconsin teams seem to enjoy playing in prime time. In their last 20 night games, the Badgers are 19-1. That makes it all the more important for the offense to be sharp from the git-go. Some early success could tame the crowd a little. Plus, it's not as though Badgers have been world beaters. Sure, they're 3-0 and they have a great running game, but that No. 9 ranking seems a little high right now. They led Washington State only 28-21 heading into the fourth quarter. They trailed UNLV 13-12
