After flying from coast to coast and barely getting any playing time during stops in Toronto, Washington and Foxboro, David Beckham got his first start on North American soil tonight at home in Los Angeles in the Superliga 2007 semifinal against D.C. United.And it didn't take long for him to get his first goal.Beckham's goal came in the 27th minute of the match. In true Beckham style, the goal came on a free kick, as he calmly bent a shot over a wall of D.C.
