Asian Film Production is my greatest passion. Two of my most favorite films were influenced by the Asian Cinema. The first film is Shichinin no Samura by Akira Kurosawa the second is The Corruptor by James Foley. Asian Film Theory makes up the basis for my filmmaking. This book provides a wonderful insight into the film production theory of Akira Kurosawa and Asian film theory in general. Asian Film Theory Book Akira Kurosawa is possibly the most influential filmmaker in Eastern or Western cinema. Without him, there would be no samurai films, there would be no Star Wars. Of course after the original trilogy, that might not be such a bad idea.
