Here's what's coming up this weekend: Sept. 7-8 Friday, our phenomenal local celebration of Defeat of Jesse James Days has begun ... put on your boots and tighten your bandanna! Head downtown to wrangle up some food available there. Cross the river to Ames Park and find the carnival full of rides, fun, lights, games and more great food! Friday night begins the re-enactments of the raid ... don't miss the shows at 6 and 7 p.m. Tailgate with the YMCA before the Northfield High School varsity game against Hutchinson. The Y is hosting its first family night with fun, games and prizes starting at 5 p.m. at Memorial Field.
