I just finished watching Geneon's Black Lagoon volume two. Earlier, I compared the series to the 80's television show The A-Team'. I'm revising that comparison after finishing this volume. It's here that the show moves a little bit away from action and starts to find its heart. The good news is that there’s still lots of action. There are also skeletons - lots of ‘em. Oh, and several gun battles. Also, Revy draws her gun on a nun. There’s also a nun with an eye patch, but you’ll just have to check it out. On to the episodes! Episode #5: Eagle Hunting & Hunting Eagles A continuation of the WWII-era Nazi submarine story, this episode finds our heroes' aboard the sunken sub trying to find the missing painting they're after. This starts a pretty intense story arc involving Revy and Rock that continues throughout the rest of the volume. Episode #6: Moonlit Hunting Grounds This episode gets pretty dark, as we see Revy in full-blown Terminator [ Full article ] |
