Al “The Trashman” Pollard a Flip Flopper on Immigration

Al Pollard has decided he wants to claim to be tough on immigration. However his record makes it tough to believe this epiphany is little more than an election year flip flop. Pollard’s plan to fight illegal immigration is to develop a database of illegal immigrants who have served jail time that employers can access to check on those they seek to hire to ensure they don’t have fake papers. Yea, okay so Johnny Landscaper is going to run a database check on the day laborer he’s picked up at the local 7-11. Sounds like a plan to me. That should be the answer to all our problems. But wait . . .when Al was in the House of Delegates he had his “I voted for before I voted against” moment too. In the press release announcing this plan Pollards states he voted for HB 637 which allowed the state police and DMV to cooperate with Federal authorities on immigration issues, however he fogets to mention that he voted no on the bill in committee and
