The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has just release recommendations in regards to airline pilots sleeping on the job. Oops, I should have said human fatigue , it sounds much more politically correct, doesn't it? Seriously, are there pilots up there right now at 38,000 feet that are sleeping?!! You've got to be kidding me! What if any of us slept on the job? We'd be fired in an instant. Okay, so most of these pilots didn't actually cause any injuries to crew or passengers but is that really acceptable? So someone runs through a red light but doesn't hit anybody, so that's okay too? I find it pretty bizarre as usually when someone is working at their job, they need to stay awake. Duh. Here are some examples as listed in the NTSB report.
