Long before she turned tricks in Leaving Las Vegas, a fresh-faced young Elisabeth Shue played a babysitter with a case of the blues in 1987’s Adventures In Babysitting. The film, which also starred Keith Coogan, Vincent D’Onofrio, Penelope Ann Miller and Bradley Whitford, offers good, clean family entertainment that still stands today as a great family film. Adventures In Babysitting was directed by first-timer Chris Columbus, who went on to direct Home Alone, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Mrs. Doubtfire, Bicentennial Man, and Harry Potter: The Sorcerer’s Stone. Packed with action, adventure and comedy, Adventures In Babysitting is the perfect 80s film for family night. [ Full article ] |
