Turns out, the home run Alex Rodriguez hit against the Royals in Kansas City on Wednesday may have been his 500th home run, even though it's currently being counted as his 499th. Let me explain.If A-Rod fails to homer in the finale of the series with the Royals tonight, he'll be sitting on 499 home runs entering the three-game series with Baltimore. Funny thing is, prior to Friday night's game against the Orioles (I believe), a rain-delayed game from June will be resumed. In that game, the Yankees are winning 8-6 with two outs in the top of the 8th. Hideki Matsui will be up with a man on second, two out, and Alex Rodriguez on deck.
