But with each new signing, it's clear that Kenny Williams and Jerry Reinsdorf are viewing the year not as the inevitable decline of an aging team but an abberation soon to correct itself. The latest mainstay from 2005's glorious campaign: A.J. Pierzynski: Pierzynski will make a base salary of $5.85 million (C$5.82 million) in 2008 under the final year of a three-year contract he signed in 2005. He will then receive $6.25 million (C$6.22 million) in each of the 2009 and 2010 seasons. "Both sides agreed on something that was fair.
