A Glimmer of Hope Remains for Crackdown 2 |

Originally cast off as nothing more than “that game with the Halo 3 beta,” the original Crackdown went on to become one of the most beloved games on Xbox 360. After selling extremely well (no doubt thanks in part to that Halo 3 beta) and the great response from critics and gamers alike, a sequel seemed like a no-brainer. Then we learned that developer Realtime Worlds was off at work on APB and not the much-wanted Crackdown sequel. Realtime Worlds studio manager Colin Macdonald has hinted that Crackdown 2 could still come at some point in the future. Speaking with VG247 at the Develop conference, Macdonald talked about how much they still regret not moving forward with Crackdown 2. “It was a horrible, horrible decision that we still dwell on,” he said, before breathing life back into the future of Crackdown. “But I don’t think the door's closed.
