8. Let your readers see the REAL you. Blogging is more personal than conventional websites. Don't be afraid to tell a few stories from your own life. By being real and personal, you will build a relationship with your readers based on loyalty and trust. This is some very good advice. I know there are some blogs out there just to make money and I admit that is a goal of this blog. It is called My Thoughts and was started before I even knew you could make money blogging. There is a lot of personal stuff here and you can see by my categories “My Life” and “Quitting Smoking” which chronicles my quit smoking journey (over a month now). I feel like I do have a personal relationship with my regular readers and love to reply to comments from them. I try my best to reply to all comments when I can. I love my regular readers and also my new readers. This series has brought a lot of new readers and I have enjoyed checking out and commenting on their blogs. So, in [ Full article ] |
