As word has traveled about hockey fan Steve Williamson's bold escapade to see games in all 30 NHL cities in 30 consecutive days -- earning him coverage in the New York Times and the Globe and Mail -- he's gathered a bit of celebrity. So much, in fact, that a complete stranger asked if he's "the guy" while waiting at a crosswalk on 7th Street in Washington, DC on Saturday night; steps away from the Verizon Center, which was arena No. 16 in his whirlwind tour."Seeing 30 games in 30 nights is a dream come true," he said. "I've had a lot of people come up to me on the road and say, 'Man, I wish I could do what you're doing. But I wouldn't want to do it in 30 nights.'"Williamson isn't exactly inconspicuous: He wears a No. 30 Tampa Bay Lightning jersey (his favorite team) with a literal advertisement for his stunt lettered on the back.
