I put it in the same league as interviewers (especially on science shows) who ask questions they obviously know the answers to ("So, Biff, you're telling me that the reason we tie our shoelaces is to keep our shoes securely fastened to our feet?") -- it's because the interviewer is acting as a proxy for the audience (which sometimes means asking dumb questions).So what does that mean for comment responses?
