Tupac Shakur landed at No. 8 on Forbes.com’s seventh annual ‘Top-Earning Dead Celebrities’ list. According to Forbes, Tupac hasn’t made an appearance on the list's Top 10 since 2002. The rapper made it back on the list thanks to sale of the writer’s share of his catalogue to EverGreen Copyrights for over $5 million in May. 2Pac, who outranked James Brown (No. 11) and Bob Marley (No. 12), raked in a total of $9 million in the past 12 months. EverGreen and Tupac's mother, Afeni Shakur, are developing a Tupac biopic and a Broadway musical featuring the rapper’s tunes, among other projects. Tupac is the bestselling rapper in history with 75 million albums sold to date. He is also profiting from his Makaveli Branded clothing line which was started by Afeni.
