According to the Associated Press, prosecutors have questioned the woman who was reported as being held captive for 24 years by her father. Video of the interviews will be shown in court during her father s trial later this year. Josef Fritzl, 73, confessed to fathering seven children with his daughter and disposing the body of an infant that died. Elizabeth Fritzl, now 42, was 18 when she was held in the bottom of her father s windowless cellar. Josef Fritzl raised three of the surviving six children out in the open while the other three were kept in the cellar with Elizabeth. Investigators report that Elizabeth had not seen sunlight since she was 18 until she gained her freedom this spring. One of the children who lived upstairs had spent her weekend incognito at youth fire brigade camp with 4,000 other youngsters where she met up with her school friends for the first time in three months. Other family members have also made trips in disguise. [ Full article ] |
