Last week, I wrote about why Hillary doesn’t drop out. On Friday, she more or less confirmed what I was saying. While the media and many others are in an uproar over her comment about RFK’s June 1968 assassination with the implication that something might happen physically to Obama, the real focus should be on the scenario that I outlined. All it takes is one big scandal to pop up and torpedo Obama’s campaign between now and August. With Hillary standing by with all her delegates, it doesn’t take many delegates to move her way to secure the nomination should Obama be forced out of the race. This is a classic Clintonian measure meant to block out a nomination from the floor of Algore or John Edwards. Wait until the primaries end next week and just watch. If Clinton “suspends” her campaign, but does not drop out and release her delegates, you’ll know where this is going. [ Full article ] |
