Former Mississippi Gov. Ronnie Musgrove (D) confirmed to the AP that he will run for the U.S. Senate. He will formally announce his candidacy on Monday. Musgrove will run in a special election against Rep. Roger Wicker (R-MS), "who was appointed this week to fill the job left vacant by the retirement of the GOP's Trent Lott."
