According to a new Winthrop/ETV poll, 40% of white Democrats in South Carolina will back Sen. Hillary Clinton in the South Carolina presidential primary, followed by John Edwards at 17% and Sen. Barack Obama at 11%. Meanwhile, among black voters in the Palmetto State, Obama holds a slim lead over Clinton, 35% to 31%, with Edwards way back at just 3%.
