As the MA-5 special election campaign enters it's final day, Republicans see a chance for an upset victory. As the Lowell Sun notes, "It wasn't supposed to be a close race. After emerging from a tough Democratic primary, Niki Tsongas presumably should have been able to put her campaign in cruise control... but as his campaign for Congress wraps up its final weekend, Republican Jim Ogonowski has given his party legitimate hope and a real chance to take one of 10 seats in the House of Representative from Massachusetts." "Ogonowski has made this race tight despite being outspent by Tsongas by a margin of nearly three-to-one. Outside interests have also pumped."
