Two weeks before the special election in Massachusetts' 5th congressional district, Niki Tsongas holds a 22 point lead over her closest rival in a field of five candidates. Tsongas has consistently dominated polls of the race to succeed Marty Meehan, who stepped down to become Chancellor of UMass Lowell. The Eagle Tribune writes that Tsongas solidified her front-runner status early on, emphasizing her high name recognition (her late husband, Sen.
