2 killed in crash on I-20 in Arlington |

BY PAUL BOURGEOIS ARLINGTON -- Two men were killed and one was injured Sunday when a sedan collided with an 18-wheeler at Interstate 20 and Cooper Street just before midnight.Arlington police said Abdelrahman Almaman Joudeh, 23, of Arlington and his unidentified male passenger were killed when their 2000 Toyota Camry suddenly veered from the middle lane of eastbound I-20 and into the path of a big rig driven by Endre Vodics, 53, of Phoenix.Vodics was transported to Medical Center of Arlington with undetermined injuries.Police said it appeared the car turned into the truck's lane to exit at Cooper unaware that the truck was there.The truck pushed the car across the outside median and caused it to flip.This crash raised the number of traffic fatalities in Arlington this year to 24.Three lanes of the freeway were closed for three hours, police said.
