#2 Alabama Holds On To Beat Kentucky In Another Tough SEC Game |

Well, the Alabama Crimson Tide win an ugly one against a rugged Kentucky Wildcats squad who, with the help of multiple miscues from the number two team in the nation, hung in the game until the bitter end. Despite three turnovers, two missed field goals, and a few too many penalties to count, the Tide held on for a 17-14 win this afternoon at home in Tuscaloosa. The Crimson Tide started off the game with their usual intensity taking their second possession into the end zone on a 78 yard run from Glen Coffee. That possession was followed later in the first quarter by a fumble recovery taken 4 yards for a touchdown by linebacker Rolando McClain. The wheels began to fall off from there. After already missing a 35 yard field goal with their first trip into the red zone, their second trip did not prove to be any better. Glen Coffee committed his first of two fumbles at the Kentucky 3 yard line to keep the Wildcats in the game still only down two [ Full article ] |
