Violent crime is down (somewhere)

The funny people were hooping and hollering loud enough for all to hear, Violent crime is down! Violent crime is down!, celebrating before the end of the game, much like the 49ers did in the late 70's when they were up on the Vikings 27-0 going in to the fourth quarter. Our Vikings came back to win that one, 28-27. What the funny people don't take in to account are the variables. One really big one. The statistics were only for the first half of the year. We were considerably colder during the first half of this year as compared to last, a statistical fact is when it's cold, or generally inclement, crime drops. We had snow in May, remember?
