World’s oldest marathon runner retires at age 101

Great-great-grandfather Fauja Singh, the world’s oldest marathon runner at age 101, is also known as “The Turbaned Tornado.” Now he is retiring from the sport after completing nine 26-mile races since he started running at age 89 to recover from a family tragedy. In 2011 he became the first centenarian on record to complete a marathon.
