Wells Fargo CEO John Strumpf resigns; no charges filed over fake accounts

Wells Fargo CEO John Strumpf stepped down from the company following a month of criticism from the public and Congress for admitting the bank opened 2 million accounts without customer permission. Timothy Sloan, the bank’s Chief Operating Officer, will be the new CEO.
