For all those of you like myself who shoot HD video with your DSLR or camcorder and want an external microphone to take high quality stereo audio at the same time (then sync it together--the Nikon D5000 does not have an external mic input), the Zoom H2 by Samson is the best I found for the price--about $179/149. The song is called Y Control by The Yeah Yeah Yeah's UPDATE: I found it works best on Mid gain and then bringing up the dB in your video editing program, that way you have excellent volume, but almost no background noise.
