Title: WWW.CREASWEET.COM / BARS PRODUCTION View count: 167 Rating: 0 (0 ratings) Description: http://www.creasweet.com/ As you might expect from someone whose formative years were spent living in post-Soviet Russia, Soloviev is big on freedom. You could sum up his general line as something along the lines of Biscuit-makers of the world, you have nothing to lose but your chains, but hes serious and its worth paying attention to his message. Soloviev has some gripes with the mainstream of equipment manufacturers in the industry. Rather than a picture of the white heat of technology producing endless choice and variety for the consumer, Soloviev argues that the industry in fact produces a dull and restricted range of confectionary, and this he says, is largely the manufacturers fault. Confectioners and biscuit bakers are being treated like children claims Soloviev, and they are unable to release their creative energies; the only scope they have to use their imagination is in the packaging, he says. And heres Solovievs take on Interpack; Interpack was an exhibition of several prisons. You come and lose your freedom to other companies. Strong stuff. But Soloviev believes he is right. With the zeal of the new convert, he argues that the idea that the customer is provided with choice is not being achieved in the industry as equipment manufacturers effectively shackle the ability of bakers and confectioners to make products according to their priorities, not on the basis of what the equipment will let them do. Soloviev has a vision of a sort of socially networked and postmodernist business model whereby an enlightened producer such as FIS, provides the industry with flexible systems which allow them to be truly innovative. In this vision successful bakers can swap experiences of how they have utilised a flexible line to make new products, not in order to copy each other, but to learn and by learning, to produce better products. In this grand scheme, Soloviev sees the role of FIS to be a facilitator, not a dictator; brains should be trained, he says, and he has no doubts that this business model would promote such training. And ultimately Soloviev wants this radical scheme to reach right down to the consumer. Confectioners should continually be seeking out consumers views and finding out what they want to eat. Endless variety should be entirely achievable says Soloviev and it brings the prospect of greater profits as innovative companies advertise themselves and turn consumption into a sort of theatre. Its this vision that FIS integrated line technology is making available, says Soloviev. The total package of integrated software and hardware is called Creasweet and includes the Intelle series of machines which enable confectioners to design their own ideas, create a 3-D model, and then turn their ideas into reality using the Intelle line technology. The line equipment is assembled using only top of the range components; Japanese electronics and pneumatics, and German and Italian gearboxes.
