Title: When the Curtain Falls~Ch. 3~ View count: 808 Rating: 3.4 (5 ratings) Description: When the Curtain Falls Chapter 3 *** Dear Diary, Well, this is it! Im waiting to be called onstage for the very first taping of So Randoms new season! Im so excited, and so jittery! I hardly know what to think. Oh, what if they dont like me? Maybe I shouldve worn plastic so that if the audience throws tomatoes they wont stain my dress. I wonder if all actresses feel this way? Probably not; I sure hope after a while Ill get used to it. OH! Theres the stage hand, motioning me on. I feel like a bundle of nerves! Ah, well. Wish me luck, dear diary! I hope I live to tell about the experiences just waiting to happen. ~Sonny~ *** Sonny. Sonny closed her diary, quickly locked the little black padlock, and pocketed the key. She rose from the cold metal folding chair shed been perched on, and, gathering her hoops and skirts, stepped onto the stage. Her first impression was the bright light. It was almost blinding. Sonny struggled to keep from squinting. She smiled and waved, her heart fluttering. It all seemed so surreal. The audience was going crazy and making such a ruckus. There were throngs of teens packed in the tiered seats, and they were all waving and clapping—at her. It seemed so unnatural. She felt as if someone else deserved this, and that someone had made a mistake. She laughed nervously and, once again heaving up her hooped skirt, managed to make her way across the stage where the rest of the cast was standing. Finally, everyone took a seat and the applause subsided. The announcer had been talking in his deep, smooth voice, but Sonny hadnt heard a word he was saying. Suddenly she blanked. Should she bow? Sonny looked at Tawni, who was laughing and blowing kisses at the audience. Tenetivly, Sonny blew a kiss to the nearest person she could focus on. It happened to be Chad. Sonny only had an instant to puzzle over why he, of all people, was in the crowd. Then the announcer walked off the stage, and the lights dimmed slightly to a more comfortable level. Everyone had hushed, and the silence was expectant. All the cast members had taken their places, and Sonny took a deep breath, shut her eyes, and started off the scene. *** Chad Dylan Coopers PRIVATE Blog Wow. I sat in on one of So Randoms filming sessions, to see what this new girl would do. I even brought tomatoes. Ugh. The script was horrible and badly written, the acting was mechanical and oh-so-laughable (and knowing me, I dont mean that in the good way) but this girl seemed to change all that. She seemed so nervous it was almost as if she had a double personality. But then, almost instantaneously, she transformed into a self confident actress, taking the stage as a rich and prominent heiress to the royal throne. Tacky plot, I know. But hey, if I were in charge of the screenplay, I could do wonders with it. Did I mention she has pretty hair? ~The one and only Chad Dylan Cooper Sonny. Sonny held her head high, and with a pompous attitude delivered her last one-liner, sending the audience into a fit of laugher. She held her pose as Nico bent down slowly to kiss her hand. Sonny was suddenly aware that the curtain was coming down in front of them. Not knowing what to do, she held her pose, frozen as the queen who saved the prejudiced lizards The curtain fell. For a moment there was utter silence. Then there was a tremendous burst of applause. The soundstage reverberated with the sound that Sonny had longed to hear. She relaxed, and realized she was sweating profusely. Hastily, she swapped for forehead. Sonny! Come on! Zora grabbed her arm and dragged her back on stage. What are we doing? Sonny whispered, confused. Just smile and wave. Then we all take a bow at the end, Zora whispered back. Sonny, her eyes once again adjusting to the bright lights, smiled and waved. Then, the whole cast grabbed hands and bowed. And finally, Sonny felt a sense of belonging. *** Dear Diary, Im so tired, I feel numb. Im exhausted and if I dont go to sleep soon Im going to go crazy. But then Im already crazy. Anyways, tonight was amazing. I was so nervous before I got on that stage, but as soon as we started filming, the strangest thing happened. I snapped out of it! I dont know how I did it, but I was able to remember my lines. I am so relieved, not to mention happy! Oh, it feels so good to know Im not a total failure. Even Zora said so! Im beginning to like that girl, along with all her weirdness and quirky sense of humor. We hung out in the lounge after filming. Tomorrow we start writing a new sketch, but of course no one talked about that. We had a good time, and I got to know the guys a bit more. I think, if I let Tawni take the spotlight (like shes used to doing) shell like me more. Oh, I do hope the fans like me. Chad passed me in the hall. He didnt say anything to me, but I could see a look of admiration in his eyes. I was so surprised. What an end to such an exciting day. Goodnight! ~Sonny~ *** Look for Chapter 4!
