Day eleven of last months festival and I am almost finished the editing before an intense upcoming week. It is 24 October and the weather is once again proving predictors wrong. It stays fine. The venue is the Vue and the traditional red carpet is laid out under the foyer snaking uphill along the East side of the building bounded by a barrier making it into a 30 yard rat run. The usual suspects gather along it to trap their prey after limo drop off and before the celebs head downhill to the tight right hander into the face of the paps. I never did find out how these usual suspects did for autographs standing there. It is a good day for queuing because there are four events and I do not need to get out there till five pm for a six fifteen start. Only an hour answering passers by questions about why I am waiting. Bliss. First up is Australian love story Samson and Delilah that won a top prize in Cannes this year. Only screenwriter / director Warwick Thornton was there posing for paps.
