(June 9)[Notes:ANCHOR VOICE] When former N-F-L start Michael Vick gets out of *federal* prison---he might end up behind bars again ----this time----on state charges....Prosecutors in Virginia say --they plan to bring Vick and his three co-defendants to trial on dogfighting charges--*after* they each serve out their current federal sentences. The commonwealth's Attorney General says it's just not worth the added expense involved --- to bring Vick and --three other men--- out of federal prison -- to and from the trials. Vick--a former Atlanta Falcons quarterback is serving a 23-month prison sentence in Kansas---after pleading to dogfighting conspiracy charges. He was originally to be tried in Virginia later this month---Vick owned a home in Virginia ---and used it to allegedly run an illegal dogfighting operation. One of his three co-defendants --has already been released and will go to state trial in July. All four men are charged with beating,killing or causing dogs to fight other dogs...and engaging in or promoting dogfighting.Each felony is punishable by up to five years in prison. ___ ___, The Associated Press.
