Even after the argument. He told me it was none of my concern and I was worrying for nothing. Eventually, we dropped the case. I was sitting out behind our house in the overgrown wheat , listening to the crickets and the wind against the fields. It was surprisingly calming. I had a lot to think about, like what I was going to tell Lila about the whole Kayla thing. I got out easily last time. I lied back, looking up I saw Lila standing there not looking at me but looking up at the setting sun. She was wearing a gold dress with silver lines and a silver necklace with two birds on it. She looked really beautiful. (Where are you going?) I asked as she sat down next to me. She ignored my question and stayed quiet. I sat up and turned to her. Her eyes were red and she had tear stains on her face. She still looked beautiful though. I hugged her and she put her head on my shoulder. I wasn't going to ask her why she was so upset but of course I wondered. She was shaking a little so I tightened my grip around her, she had tears streaming down her face and onto my shirt. I didn't mind in the slightest. That's what friends are for. I turned my head and got a better look of the necklace she was wearing. It was of two doves that were spaced far enough apart so that it was as if they were flocking apart. Deep I know. The more I thought about it the more it made sense, I wonder who gave it to her. Not that it matters any, I mean, it's not like we're anything more then friends. Nick's POV Seeing Lila in tears hurt almost as much as seeing her run off to Joe without even glancing in my direction. It seems like the more she sees Joe, the less she wants to be with me. It's gotten to the point where she doesn't even look at me. I'm nice to her, and I really like her, it's just that well, I have a girlfriend. It's not like I didn't ask her myself what she was crying, cause I did , she just ignored me. She wasn't supposed to even be home, let alone in tears. She had left only an hour ago to hang with some friends from school that she hadn't seen since the beginning of May, she was all excited before she left, must not had gone too well. I heard a soft knock on the front door, taking my time opening it, I soon found myself facing a girl with honey brown hair that had been curled in a way that framed her face perfectly. She, like Lila was wearing a dress, but hers was blue silk with a single tier around the bust, the color went beautifully with her skin tone. I could barely make out her eyes from the night behind her, as a result as her eyes were a grayish black color that raised as many questions in my head as she was probably wondering since I was staring at her. ( I apologize for the hour, but, I was wondering if Lila is available to talk.?) She asked looking down at her feet. She sounded so proper and formal, it made me feel a bit out of place when I answered, (Ugh, She's with Joe right now, I can go get her if you want.) Gosh, that sounded as stupid as the face I made next to what I had just said. (No, just, could you tell her to call me.) She asked. (Yeah, I'll tell her. Wait, What's your name?) I asked in a slur. She smiled but I think she under stood cause she answered, ( Lucy) then after I nodded she turned on her heal and walked silently down the porch. Watch the vid for pics of the dresses, ect.
