Title: South Adams County Water District Comments of Robert Aragon View count: 74 Rating: 5.00 (1 ratings) Description: Water Board Meeting of May 14, 2008 Dramatic changes were made at the South Adams County Water and Sanitation District meeting that was held on Wednesday, May 14, 2008. This was the first meeting of the board of directors held since the May 6 election when Glen Murray and Bob Aragon were elected to two seats previously held by Dick Smith and Jim Allen. The recall election has been cancelled by Adams County that was going to be held in June. President of the board Mike Benallo resigned. New president will be Joanne Stevenson. Newly elected board member Robert Aragon was sworn into office. Newly elected board member Glen Murray will be sworn in at the next meeting as he did not attend as he was on vacation. Robert Aragon was appointed the new Secretary. Glen Murray was suggested as the new Treasurer; Mr. Murray will be offered the position when he returns. The new board appointed John Ennis to fill the vacancy left by the Benallo resignation. Public was not asked if they would be interested in this position, no opportunity was given for anyone to apply or be interviewed for this open position. Current General Manager Greg Fabisiak agreed to be put on administrative leave of absence until an investigation of his actions can take place. It was suggested that former district employee Jim Jones take the position of general manager, due to the fact that the water district does have a lot going on and some form of management is needed. All these decisions were made by directors Ford and Stevenson who have been on the board for two years and new directors Aragon and Ennis. Aragon was just sworn in at this meeting and Ennis was just appointed at this meeting. Newly elected director Murray was absent.
