I miss him. Him is dad. He died a year ago. He died of lung cancer. My dad was a great dad, husband, son, brother and friend. Unfortunately, he smoked when he was depressed. I've never seen him smoke. Mom still isn't over him though she tells me she's fine and acts cheerful around me. Sometimes, when I pass by mom's room, I would hear her sobbing while clutching onto his picture. I used to be like mom for the first few months of his death. Slowly, I told myself that dad would want me to be happy. I stopped eventually and started to write songs. John Mayer, Paramore, Katy Perry and Demi Lovato are my musical icons. Mom and I moved into a new neighbourhood last year after his death to start over, yet I had no friends. I didn't want one. People would come up to me and say hi and I would just ignore them and walk away. I was home-schooled. The only people I talked to over the year would probably be my mom, nanny and tutor. My dad was 36th richest american, so basically he's rich. His will was that he wanted 80%of his money, estates and buildings to go to me when I come of age, that would be two years from now. 20% for my mom. For now, my mom would be my legal guardian. A month ago, mom came up to me and told me that I would be attending boarding school so that I'd have real friends. I should've been mad but I shook the burden off and told myself that mom probably wanted some alone time. I don't want to go but I have to. So I shut my iPod, took a shower, curled my hair, double-checked my luggage and put on my brand new uniform. My right side pocket having four tiny stars on each side, a moon in the middle with the letters of CDLA. Yep, Castilla Del Luna Academy. It was a school for people who were rich and or either scholars. I tied my hair into a messy ponytail and kissed my silver locket, which my dad gave me when I was six. As I went down, I saw my mom eating breakfast. I came up to her. Selena: Mom, why are you awake at *looks at her watch* 3am? Jessica (Alba;Mom): I wanted to see you off. Selena: *Laughs* Mom, we just had our mother and daughter bonding yesterday. Jessica: *Smiles* *Hugs her* *Cries* Selena: *Pulls away* Mom, why are you crying?
