Theodore John Kaczynski born May 22, 1942), also known as the Unabomber (University and Airline Bomber), is an American mathematician, social critic, and murderer who carried out a campaign of mail bombings, as well as a described anarcho-primitivist. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, where, as an intellectual child prodigy, he excelled academically from an early age. Kaczynski's lawyers attributed some of his emotional instability to his participation in a CIA stress and mind control experiment at Harvard from the age of 16. Kaczynski received an undergraduate degree from Harvard University and earned a PhD in mathematics from the University of Michigan. He became an assistant professor at the University of California, Berkeley at age 25 but resigned two years later. Danny Harold Rolling (May 26, 1954 October 25, 2006), also known as The Gainesville Ripper, was an American convicted killer. After confessing to the murder and mutilation of five students in Gainesville, Florida in August 1990, he was ultimately executed. He also confessed to raping several of his victims, committing an additional 1989 triple homicide in Shreveport, Louisiana, and attempting to murder his father in May 1990.
