I met Vinny Ponte back when he was a 14 year old red-headed, brace-faced camper at Woodward Skate Camp in Pennsylvania and I was on my first tour as a Birdhouse pro with Tony Hawk, Jeremy Klein and Willy Santos. Since then I have been a witness to Vinny getting better at skating, getting sponsored, turning pro, traveling the earth, retire, go to college, work at a restaurant, open a skate shop and all the ups and downs and in betweens in between now and then.
