I had managed to get into the same boat as 2 press photographers who were "Shooting" photos on the recently arrived migratory Pelicans for an article titled , "Arrival of the Pelicans".I have visited this small and picturesque river sanctuary manny times but saw pelicans in their natural surroundings for the first time in my life.These birds are extremely gracefull in flight unlike the crude caricatures of their counterparts in aviary zoo's with clipped wings.The bird sanctuary consists of 6 islets and is 67SqKm and was discovered by India's famous ornithologist Dr Salim.Ali.
