Randy was invited to cameo on the new Star Trek movie by the film's director himself, J. J. Abrams, when Abrams found out that Randy was a devoted Star Trek fan. This is a still image showing Randy's appearance in the movie, which happens about 35-40 seconds into the VERY FIRST SCENE of the film. Randy runs across the top of the screen from left to right and says "Captain, we have visual". As Randy said so himself in his blog before he left us, if you blink, you'll miss him!!
