Anyway, this is an old fashioned pot roast - lots of people don't use turnips or rutabagas; but I like their sweetness. Parsnips also add a neat flavor but there were none available when I shopped. There may be a mention of cookies still in it - I tried to remove them, but may have missed - they were an EPIC Fail! I triple checked the recipe but found no errors. Oh well; the dough was good. Wet but good. The pot roast / stew was delish; we had biscuits with it and hubby was happy. Apple pie with left overs tonite.
