Title: Piano Hero? View count: 18112 Rating: 4.85 (41 ratings) Description: I was looking for something to help me learn some songs on the keyboard the other day, and thought to do a google search for 'Piano Hero', as in a guitar hero knock-off using a piano instead of a guitar. It came to my surprise that such a thing exists, and it's called Synthesia. Synthesia is pretty basic, but non like Guitar Hero, this actually helps you learn the songs (people who can play "Slow Ride" in Guitar Hero won't be able to play the song using a real guitar.. but these are things you should know already). The 'game' uses any midi file you have and want to learn using the keyboard, it comes with mostly game related midi's like some Mario, Sonic, and Zelda themes, but if you do a search for whatever your favorite song is and add the word 'midi' after it, chances are you'll be able to find a file to download for this. Synthesia is available for download on both OS X and Windows, and you can download it at: http://www.synthesiagame.com/ And just to note, I'm not playing anything in the video, this is just the 'automatic play' mode where the 'game' is pretty much showing you how to play the songs. I just discovered this program and don't know any of the songs being played, so yeah, don't expect any personal videos of me playing for some time yet.
