Title: PBR Nov 15 09 Drew Takes Center Stage! View count: 208 Rating: 4.2 (15 ratings) Description: Introducing the Drew pass! As you can see, it's a doubles pass, and arguably my best designed one yet. Really, one word can describe this pass: Tank. All of the Pokemon on this team can take at least one hit, and keep on trucking. Arcanine is the shining example of this team, as you'll see in this battle. Butterfree is a lot of fun to use, kind of like my Mime Jr. on the James pass. I had some trouble deciding what I wanted to do with Masquerain. I think maybe I should get rid of Stun Spore and give it Bug Buzz, but it functions fine without it. Roserade is the specially defensive bulk to the team, and hits pretty hard itself. Roserade actually has a cool story behind it. I caught it as a Roselia in Ruby about 6 years ago, and I was lucky it was Timid natured and had Hidden Power Ice. I had forgotten about it until I was looking through my boxes for a Roselia to breed, and I figured I would just EV train this one. Well, now it's a Roserade, and a good one at that. Flygon and Absol are just your average Flygon and Absol, but they are effective. The reason I have Arcanine on the team is because Drew only owns 5 Pokemon, so I needed another Pokemon to fill the void. I chose Arcanine because there is an episode in the Hoenn arc where May and Drew "compete" to see who can capture Arcanine first, and in the end Drew won, but he discovered the Arcanine had a family of baby Growlithes, so he decided not to capture it. X Spoilers X About the battle, not a lot to say about it. The only mistake I really made was not switching out Masquerain for Arcanine, but that only delayed the inevitable.
