Recreate '68 wants the vision and dream that the people attempted to bring to the DNC in 1968 to manifest in Colorado in 2008. The people of the protest were non-violent, but it was the police that sponsored the ensuing riots. Recreate '68 advocates a peace platform, and since the Democrats supports a war platform, Recreate 68' calls for a People's National Convention. Many Coloradans, particularly local grassroots and peace organizations, have walked away from the group questioning authoritarian group structure and commitment to non-violence. What we all must remember is the present wars and torture committed by our government is supported and funded by the corporate controlled two-party system, and it is they we need to unite against to bring back power to the people. Alternative parties and individuals offer a remedy to this two headed corporate / special interest controlled beast. Vote your conscience this fall, vote your hopes, vote your dreams.
