Luckily, they only lived 10 minutes walking distance from the school. As Kali walked up her driveway, Koa(her dog) runs up to her with a tennis ball in his mouth. Kali: Koa! Hey bud! *In that one voice lol* Aww, yes you're a good boy! Yes you are! Go get it! *throws the ball* The mailman is walking down the driveway. Kali: Oh! Good afternoon! Mailman: *In Southern accent* Good afternoon, little lady! Looks like a package came for you in the mail. Kali: Thanks, Charlie! See you later! *Runs up to the door at the package has her name on it* Kali: finally! Kali's Dad: What is it? *Pops his head out of the window* Kali: OMG Dad! Don't scare me like that!*opens the package* My Jonas Brothers sweatshirt! It's here! Kali: Ahhh!! I love it!!*Puts it on* How's it look? ???: Amazing *smiles* Kali turns around quickly to face the person and blushes. Kali: Oh, hey Jake!*smiles* thanks. *walks over and hugs him* How are you? Jake: Good. I hear you're going to Aspen for a week? That sounds fun. Kali: Yeah, where'd you hear tha- ahh nevermind. You should come with us! Jake: Sorry I can't. I'm going on a fishing trip with my uncle... Kali: Aww, that doesn't sound quite as fun as an entire week of snowboarding and yummy hot coco! Jake: Nope! But it definitely sounds better than 2 teenage girls screaming about every hot guy that passes by! *laughs* Kali: Actually, make that 3. I think I'm gonna invite Isabel to come along with us. I didn't wanna be a loner because Catherine's probably going to be with David the entire time. *rolls her eyes and giggles* Jake: Alright! Well have fun! Kali: Thanks, you too! Jake: I'll miss you. *smiles and hugs her* Kali: I'll miss you too. *hugs him back* Jake: K bye. Kali: See you. Kali goes back inside and falls on her bed and stares at the ceiling and smiles;; thinking she just got two amazing things. 1) to talk to jake and 2) she got her JB sweatshirt!!! ahh!:) -Later on that night at the dinner table at Kali's house- Kali: Thanks for dinner dad, it's great! Dad: You're welcome. Kali: You know you make the best turkey and mashed potatoes ever! Dad: uhh, thanks Kali. Danielle: *under her breath* suck up. Kali kicks Danielle under the table and Danielle gives her a mean look. Kali: Okay I have to talk to you guys about something. Dad: ARE YOU PREGNANT?!? Kali: NO DAD! [[A.N. He really would ask me that in real life. lol]] Kali's Mom: Bob![[A.N. haha original name i know! lol]] Be nice! Ok Kali, what is it? Kali: Ok. So you know how I get my license this week... Mom:...right... Kali: And Christmas Break is just around the corner... Mom:..ookay.. Kali: I'm 16 now.. Mom: Kali just get to the point. Kali: Well, I was wondering if me, Catherine and Isabel could take a trip up to Aspen for a week. We've all been saving up money and- Dad: *cuts in* Kali, absolutely not. Kali: But Dad, why!?!? Dad: I know you're a good driver and everything but the roads are just way too dangerous this time of year. Kali: Umm hello? Dad, have you seen my car lately? It's not exactly one that wouldn't protect me. *she had a 2005 toyota 4runner* Dad: yeah.. Kali: please Dad! I've been looking forward to this for weeks and I've really been saving up for this. Dad: I dont know; talk to your mom I don't wanna deal with this. Kali: mom? Mom: Kali- *gets a concerned look on her face* Kali:*in a calm tone* Mom.. please. I'm begging you. Mom: I really dont think its a good idea. Kali: Mom! Can we please please please just do this one thing? please! we'll be careful and Uncle David will be there to keep an eye out for us since he works there. And we already have a condo out there so you don't have to worry about where to stay. Mom: Ugh... Okay, fine! But there will be conditions. Kali: OMG! *freaking out* Thankyou thankyou thankyou!!
